With experience providing strategic legal and communications counsel to former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore, Mark Fabiani has been a Principal at Fabiani and Lehane LLC, for the past 15 years. The La Jolla, California, consultancy provides crisis management as well as legal, branding, and marketing solutions to diverse political, corporate, and individual clients. Mark Fabiani and his team have managed a successful communications strategy that defeated a $50 million public relations and lobbying campaign to alter U.S. bankruptcy laws.

Mr. Fabiani’s firm has also engaged with a number of high-profile corporate clients in the past several years. His team developed integrated communications, positioning, and branding strategies for one of the world’s leading international software companies. Fabiani and Lehane has also provided comprehensive services to a major soft drink company in dealing with a high-profile lawsuit initiated by a competitor. Another assignment involved orchestrating strategic communications for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer in its launch of a new corporate venture.

Having earned his J.D. cum laude at Harvard Law School, Mark Fabiani spent nearly a decade with Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley as Counsel, Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor. Following civil unrest related to the Rodney King beating in 1992, he helped lead police reform and economic recovery efforts. Mr. Fabiani subsequently advised President Bill Clinton and the First Lady throughout the contentious 1996 presidential reelection campaign. He interacted directly with national media in communicating legislative, political, and legal responses to allegations and investigations. He also appeared on numerous new shows. Mark Fabiani’s political advisory experience includes a key position with Vice President Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign as Deputy Campaign Manager for Communications and Strategy.
