An accomplished political strategist, Mark Fabiani distinguished himself both during the Clinton years, when he served as special counsel to the President, and during Al Gore’s presidential campaign, when he served as deputy campaign manager for communications and strategy. Prior to his years at the White House, Mark Fabiani worked for Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, serving as deputy mayor, chief of staff, and counsel to the mayor.Although he remains well-known in Washington circles, Mark Fabiani now provides crisis management and communications strategy to corporate and individual clients through his California-based firm, Fabiani & Lehane, which he operates with fellow former Clinton Administration veteran Chris Lehane. Along with Bill Guttentag, the two have recently published a book, Masters of Disaster: The Ten Commandments of Damage Control, which details strategies for surviving public relations crises.A lawyer by training, Mark Fabiani earned his juris doctor from Harvard Law School, graduating cum laude in 1982. He then spent a year clerking for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit before joining Mayor Bradley’s administration in 1984.
